Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was written by Seth Grahame-Smith in 2009. It is a combo of Jane Austen's classic novel "Pride and Prejudice" with the awsomeness that is zombie mayhem!
I drooled to myself as I read this book in the dark with my little booklight under the blankets. As an Austen fan, when I heard that this book was written I pretty much fell out of my chair and ran to buy it. The thought of Elizabeth Bennet slaughtering zombies made me giddy as a school girl with a cupcake. I feel that much of the humor would be lost on someone who has not read the original 1813 novel, but a great read for the zombie lover nonetheless.
